I do 2000 mg per day. Keeps my levels in check on VIT D. Up to 4000 is recommended in some cases.
So if I were you I'd certainly go at least 2000 with it.
As for the fatigue. Yeah the RBC really factor in there.
I Start to drop around treatment 3 on RBC, and by treatment 5 my platelets were trashed from Oxi and the Zarxio shots to boost WBC reduce the RBC some.
I dropped Oxaliplatin on round 7 and had treatment 8 with no OXI and my counts have gone back close to normal, just a smidge low on RBC, but platelets are normal again.
I noticed two things - considerably more energy and hair growth. My hair seemed to be growing at snails pace for past few months. Then no OXI and bam, starts growing back fast.
I'm hoping next session all my counts will be back to normal range. Crossing fingers.
I know you were doing Xeloda, while I was doing Folfox - but all the same dropping the OXI you will probably start to feel more normal about 2-3 weeks after stopping it.
You probably will still be reduced energy and strength. I've noticed my strength is vastly reduced. I used to be able to do 50 push ups without stopping. I'm lucky to do the full 10 right now.
But anyhow, you'll get closer to normal quickly and hopefully you're close to full on normal by Surgery day.
Keep it up fellow warrior, you've done well in spite of everything you've gone through thus far.
