Every time I am bothered by the cold I think of all you back east and shut up . Cold here is maybe in the 20's. I got complemented today on by color, meds also cause even the littlest time in the sun to bring color. I am slathering on sunscreen.

Spring will come.

Feeling better again compared to yesterday - improvement accelerates off the Oxaliplatin which is great when it happens. On another note:

Between 2005 and 2015, ad spending by U.S. cancer centers soared from $54 million to $173 million. In 2016 alone, Anderson’s seven rotating TV spots were viewed about a billion times. “The appeals raise the stakes, in essence saying you can be saved provided you make the right choice or doomed if you do not,” Steven Woloshin, a physician and medical communication researcher, wrote in an editorial in the Journal of the American Medical Association.

Doing better today than yesterday so things are getting better. I felt good enough to run today but did Yoga and other floor stuff today. It's going to be in the 60s tomorrow so I'll give tomorrow a shot for running.

This is normal stuff; things get better about 9 or 10 days after infusion and then go back to crap after the infusion.

Had a tad of withdrawal on the board as it was down for quite some time.

Tried a few new poses - they were a bit of effort to do but what's noticeable is the soreness after doing the pose. Of course it's a good soreness and I'd guess that you yoga folks out there are well acquainted with it. One of the really nice things about yoga is that there isn't the stress on the bag that some other activities have.

Feel your pain and excitement. We seem to be in the same place yet again.

Yoga helps me feel powerful. Going tomorrow morning, start week off right.

I just do these in the office or at home - I've never been to a class before. I just need a picture of a pose and then work on doing it.

I second the recommendation for Yoga with Adriene! I do them at home, and many of them are 20-30 minutes which fit into my busy schedule.

I like to use a picture as the amount of time it can take for me to get into a pose varies all over the place and I find it hard to do things in time to a video. I'd probably have trouble with a class as well. But it feels good after doing it.

Last day of Xeloda for cycle 6. The Hands and Feet was at a pain/annoyance level 7 out of 10 (basically the worst I've had it) and it will likely peak on Friday or Saturday while the Neuropathy is declining. The Hands and Feet are worst when I wake up in the morning and then the stiffness declines through the day with use. My typing can be a mess with it though I go back and correct it as best I can. 70 degrees is forecast today - I just hope that I can get outside to enjoy it.

So glad to see others have discovered Yoga With Adrienne. Her practice is so full of love and compassion. Yoga and breathing really help with my stress and anxiety levels. Another one I like is Fightmaster Yoga with Lesley Fightmaster.

I did a few poses with my wife this morning before her walk. We did Warrior I, II and Tree Pose. I showed her Warrior III and she started to try it but I suggested having a chair nearby on the first time. I still prefer to just do it a little here and there when I want a break from work or just have a few moments and feel like it. The little bits add up.

I went outside to go get gas (our station was closed for three weeks for replacing tanks) and walked around as well - temps were mid-30s which means that the vast amount of cold sensitivity is gone and that means that I can guzzle cold water.

One hypothesis for link between nuts and cancer outcomes centers on the insulin resistance pathway. In individuals with obesity or type 2 diabetes, cells fail to respond normally to the hormone insulin, which helps cells use glucose for energy. As a result, the body produces more insulin, which reaches higher levels in the bloodstream. Epidemiological studies have found a link between diabetes, insulin resistance, and cancer.

“Nut intake is associated with less insulin resistance,” says Fadelu.

In addition, he explains, nut consumption is associated with lower amounts of biomarkers related to inflammation in the body, and inflammation has been implicated in cancer causation.

Further, nuts may also alter the mix of bacteria in the digestive system, Fadelu notes — while reemphasizing that at this point, researchers are still hypothesizing.

I wanted to change the bag this morning but output was steady so I'm putting it off until this afternoon. I haven't eaten for 15 hours and bag output is nil but I'm in the office and have only once changed it away from home. So it's another three or four hours for about 19 or 20 hours fasting. Bag change should be really easy.
