Prepopik is the same as Pico-salax.

Read them carefully and you will notice that people have different preferences.
On one of this threads you can find a link to a .pdf document describing pros and cons of 4 different types of preparations.

Bottom line: prep based on PEG 3350 and mineral salts is universally dispised.
All other preps (including preps based on PEG 3350 and Gatorade) have their fans.

I have had quite a few colonoscopies over the last eight years and the prep gets harder for me to tolerate. Just thinking about it now makes me shudder I get so nauseous that it is almost impossible to keep it down and even drink it in the first place. I feel so sick that I'm unable to drink other fluids in an attempt not to get dehydrated. I always end up with a migraine too. I knew that I would never be able to have another if I had to drink that awful prep ever again I let my GI doctor know about the intolerance that I had developed and she suggested that I take tablets next time. She said that there are 32 tablets that I would have to take and that I would have to consume fluids with them....but I it would have to be much easier and better than that ghastly, awful prep, surely I am going to try them next time for sure!

The pills are called osmoprep. I have yearly colonoscopies and is what I use. They are reasonably easy to swallow and then you drink lots of water. Insurance doesn't cover most of the cost, though. I'm out of pocket about $200, but its worth it to me. Might try the prepopik next time. More expensive that golytley, but cheaper

I have used Prepopik 2 to 3 times and it works great and you won't get sick or crampy ... at least I didn't and I won't use anything else.

It is really important to start the week before with miralax in your coffee or tea and low residue diet. Makes it much easier.
