Oncologist confused by pathology

I saw my oncologist today to arrange my chemotherapy. She had the results from the pathology on my ovaries, finally, but was confused by it. The result was that there were some sort of calcifications on my ovaries and on one spot removed from my peritoneum. They have no idea what caused it, because she said she has never seen it with rectal cancer. She is going to present my case to the tumor board to get their opinions. She said that sometimes they see these type of calcifications with ovarian cancer, but she wants a GYN oncologist to take a look. My hope is that the radiation just messed up my already messed up ovaries (polycystic ovarian syndrome) and created some really weird tissue.
