My husband is overdo for both his eye appt and his dental check up....I suggested that he go prior to starting chemo on 7/17... he kind of blew it off, but I know he will go if I push him. How important is it to have these check ups prior to starting treatment? I've read especially about the dental appt. Thanks again for your time!

You are correct, especially the dentist. My onc would not allow me to go to the dentist for a cleaning; however, he said it was ok for the eye doctor. I went to the dentist and had my teeth cleaned and a filling changed before starting chemo. I waited one month after chemo for my next appt.
