This is an area of interest to me as well. I am MSI high too.
I received folfox and finished in March 2017, and am NED.
Because I have so many poor prognosticators- perineural and lymphvascular invasion, a very large tumor that obstructed, right sided disease- I am indeed nervous.
Both my local onc and my onc at MDA said folfox was first line treatment, because I questioned them both about the study cited in this thread. They both said we'd cross that bridge when we got there, but said immunotherapy was a treatment that may help me.
I am wondering if at some point they will use immunotherapy as a first line treatment on MSI high tumors but I don't think they have enough "evidence" yet.
I underwent testing for Lynch and was told it was inconclusive because my tumor and presentation was that of Lynch but the test came back negative. The geneticist said she's still recommended that me and my kids get all the advanced screenings because there is a lot the medical community does not know about Lynch and tests are not definitive.
If I have any change in status or any further info from my oncs I'll be sure to report back. Good luck my friend.
