I just got out of the hospital yesterday and LAR with diverting ileostomy (temp)
Is the rod normal? it doesn't hurt or anything doctor said he will take it out thursday

You can do Kegel exercises while you are sitting, standing, and walking.
1. Tighten your buttock muscles like you are trying to hold back a bowel movement. Hold this position for 5 to 10 seconds.
2. Release and rest.
3. Repeat 10 times, 4 times a day.
