Hello,
I am glad to find your group. I had a few questions that I hope someone can give me a bit of guidance on. First I am not sure if I have colon cancer or not yet. Tuesday I had my colonoscopy and the Dr removed a growth about the size of a 50 cent piece, he said it was solid and hard to remove that he had to take it out in pieces. I asked him what his thoughts were and he said it didn't look good and was concerning but would wait for the results. The Dr is a general surgeon, he said he would just remove that section of my bowel. I want to be prepared for my appoint if it is cancer. Is a general surgeon ok or do I need to see a different type of specialist...if so what kind? I have already survived breast cancer with mastectomy and chemo. I want to make sure I take the right steps. Thank you
