A gerbil eating a carrot? So does that mean the goats are not behind the conspiracy, but subservient to the gerbils? The Gerbil Inquisition cometh.

Either way Peanut, you win the thread.

He went on and on, almost longingly, about how many people come to the realization that getting a few extra months of miserable life through chemo is so much worse than just going and being happy until the end.

I just kept saying "I hope it doesn't come to that", but I don't think dawned on him that everyone with cancer dreads being faced with deciding when to stop treatment. Nor did he seem to understand that dying from cancer is highly unlikely to be peaceful and pleasant, chemo or not. I'm pretty sure his entire point of reference was the death of a character on the TV show ER sitting on a beach.

I love Dr.House, but now I question the ending where his buddy, Dr.Wilson, has terminal cancer, and they ride off into the sunset on motorcycles.

Or perhaps I just need to get a motorcycle and hey presto, problem solved.

Apparently, there's been a rash of stories about this and it's one of those "partially true" things. Yes, hydrogen sulfide could possibly help fight disease, but it has to be delivered to the mitochondria in epithelial cells.

So just smelling noxious farts will not do the trick. Hopefully, you haven't been subjecting your friends to smelly flatulence and telling them it's good for them!

But I'd love to hear the responses you've prepared! :D

I see. Was that really 3 weeks with your "grandson", or were you perhaps in a BigCarrot reeducation camp? Are you one of THEM, BS? Or worse, are you an agent of BigCarrot masquerading as our friend while you keep her imprisoned in the carrot mines. We will come for you BS. No carrot mine prison can hold you. It's nice to finally speak with you. I hope you had a wonderful visit with your grandson. Welcome back. -Kim

YOU HAVE NO IDEA...how close you really are. Loved having my grandson, but really tugs my heart to see how he is being trained in attitude toward food, viruses, etc. With Lynch Syndrome in the family (his dad + grandson has gene mutation too young to exactly identify, but has been tested). Organic brown eggs, organic cereal, no mayo, no bacon, no sausage, no hot dogs, no McDonalds (+ play structure may have viruses on it), no high fructose corn syrup. Any "brown" on lettuce is toxic. Healthier side of junk food, i.e. baked chips, root beer ok, frozen burritos from Costco frowned upon. Phone calls from Mom: "Are you doing homework (home schooled), are you eating chips, are you drinking soda?"

Grandma doesn't want to spend all day in the kitchen. We managed rather well, had lots of fun, parks, morning walks, evening strolls, children's theatre, amusement park, gamerooms, you name it, we did it. :)
