I have pretty similar situation, but only one large tumor 6.5 cm
In rectum/sigmoid . Great news and a relief, to find out it had not got farther in and lymphs

Your Mum is 6 days ahead of me. I had surgery on May 23rd. I believe I have stage 1.
I'm scheduled to meet surgeon on July 7th, to discuss Ileosotmy reversal. I was wondering
How soon it is wise to have it. I think the dr plans to look inside first to see how resection has healed,
Not sure how that's done.. Will be interested how your Mums is doing . Best wishes...

Hi C2WAVE,

After my surgery and before my reversal, I did what they call a Barium Enema. Basically I think its iodine (I think) which is what your bowel gets filled up with. Yes its a tube up the bum. From there they roll you around abit then they take an x-ray. this will determine how u have healed and if there are any leaks at the connection site. I guess and only guessing is that if you have a leak then you maybe at risk of a perm bag.
