Our friend Awreed has departed

Postby Maia » Fri Jun 09, 2017 7:42 am

Andrew Reed has departed. He tried to live life to the fullest until the last days, and gave cancer a hard time during many years. Godspeed, friend. You'll be missed and remembered.

So sad to know that he has passed. We visited many times during my trips to NIH, and shared lots of fun dinners and lunches together.
He was the first (and only!) one to visit me in the hospital during my long inpatient stay.

I will miss him.

Bumping this up. I lost a very good high school buddy to breast cancer this past week. Cancer is a bit**. I pray for the day, we find a cure to this nasty disease.

To all of those on the journey,
