CT scan results

Postby thubler » Mon Jun 05, 2017 8:04 pm

So I had my follow up CT scan today, they put a rush on the results because I have an appointment with my Oncologist tomorrow so I got the results this afternoon. On previous scans I have shown calcified lung nodules in both lungs, most likely from the years of adolescent asthma with some probably wicked treatments by todays standards. I had a "Questionable stable tiny nodular density in the anterior right lung base, previous suggested tiny nodules are not seen." I also had "thickened appearing rectosigmoid wall may be due to collapsed bowel, but inflammatory changes or other infiltrative processes are considered, Colonic diverticulosis is noted" The two mesenteric lymph nodes that were found in February are the same size and marked as "stable." I contacted my Oncologist through my app and he wrote back right away saying it was a overall stable scan and he wasn't concerned about the colon stuff because I was just scoped front and back in December. He didn't even mention the lung stuff so hopefully its nothing, I however didn't mention that I ran five miles the day before my scan and hit the gym pretty hard. So I have this appointment tomorrow and hopefully I am reading this right and it was a good scan.

Goodluck at your appointment tomorrow! It sounds like it will go well. I haven't heard of a collapsed bowel before, or what causes it. Is this something you've had in the past that's been rectified? Or are they thinking you might have a collapsed bowel now?

Not quite sure what the collapsed bowel is, I have never had that on a CT before. Thanks Lee, yes the instructions were correct, I had found my instructions later on in the night and I was confusing the 4 hr fast vs the longer fast for the colonoscopy.
