Now 2000 mg Xeloda for 2 weeks as maint. before surg.

APR surgery permanent colostomy

3/26 nodes involved -LVI - clean margins
Staged after surgery: T3N1Mx
Infection due to bladder problems. Slow recovery.
CEA 1.7
Adj. Chemo Xelox 6 rounds 29/04/17
After round 3 CT Scans Clear 15/07

Good news fellow kiwi! I'm just a few days ahead of you, 3 years 6 months and 8 days! Yes, I've read too that the 3 year mark is a good one to reach. I'm on 6 monthly CEA tests and a year now between consultant appts. I'll have a routine colonoscopy at the end of the year, making it a gap of 3 years since the one a year after surgery. No more CT scans. So, we should be celebrating 4 years in Summer. I'd like to know any survival % age for 3 1/2 years. I was told one after surgery and know about the magic 5 year mark, but there must be something in between? Trying to control my anxiety by seeing a councellor. (The first 3 are free.) Also had a long phone chat with a cancer survivor, arranged through the Cancer Society.

It's nice to have slightly lower health anxiety.
Got my latest CEA back today:
4.5, which is down from 4.9 a few months ago. So that's cool.
I suddenly have 1 swollen and sore lymph node on each side of my lower neck, so that's my latest health oddity!

I'm the proud owner of an 2,5 yr ultrasound with clear long and liver and a cea of 1.9
Still fatique, having a hard time combining work and home life, it used to be coming home from work doing exercise and physical activity would give me energy. Now the balance is totally different. If I have worked hard mentally, my body is trashed as well and visa versa. Very annoying. Still luxurious problems comparing where we came from.
My I suggest ketel1 or damrak for your choice of gin?
