I was 34 when I had radio and was sent to a menopause clinic. The OBGYN immediately prescribed HRT (a combo oestrogen/progesterone one) and when I asked about risks of taking it he said that at a younger age the risks are much lower and the benefits far outweigh the risks. No more risk than the contraceptive pill...that was good enough for me. I now have zero menopause symptoms to add to all the other delightful issues post chemo and LARS. Highly encourage anyone to discuss HRT if they have radio.

I wish I could, but with my family history of breast cancer and my ovarian cancer, I don't want to risk it. My oncologist thinks it is too risky, as well.
