(((Grouseman)))

Know that many people around the world carry you and your wife in their thoughts and prayers. Me included. I am a big believer in the power of the prayer, I know it helped me when I was going through treatment.

I pray your wife is not in pain and that both of you are surrounded by family, friends and love,

Always,

Lee

Postby GrouseMan » Sun Jun 04, 2017 3:04 am

My wife passed away this morning at about 12:45 am. My father was sitting with her at the time. Just prior to me coming up to her bedroom to give her next round of oral morphine and Lorazepam to keep her comfortable as she lay wasting away. She left before the rain came in. I sat with her for a while with one of our dogs afterwards, while awaiting the Hospice nurse to come to my home and make the official record of her death. I just finished a beer and am for some reason strangely calm. Her sister was to visit her today, so I have put off calling the undertaker until her sister has had a chance to say good bye.

She deteriorated rather quickly since coming home from the hospital Friday before last, She and I were at that time under the impression, that despite the colostomy, and stomach tube she would have plenty of time and she would be able to still be active and work her dogs. No such thing as it was wishful thinking at best. I am really very tired now. I'll post more later.

Regards

Grouseman:
I feel a heaviness of grief and sadness reading your post. The world has lost a bright light in the passing of your dear wife.

I hope that you can find warmth and companionship in the company of your dogs, and in them find gentle memories of your wife and of your shared love.

Shalom,
