My Bro Nut, always good to see your posts.

As a friend reminded me recently, the pits of apricots have been know to cure cancer. Or at least that was the fad a few years back.

Always, your Sista Nut.

I suspect we may not be hearing from OP anymore. He's been online lurking, butt hasn't said anything after his wife posted.

So in the spirit of the nut clan, here's a fun fact for the day.

(Warning, for mature audiences only.)

Amaretto (Italian for "a little bitter") is a sweet, almond-flavoured, Italian liqueur associated with Saronno, Italy. Various commercial brands are made from a base of apricot pits, almonds, or both.[1]

I LOVE to use Amaretto in baking...the flavor it gives to the food (try it next time you make homemade biscotti....sooo good) is just unbelievable!
When I saw that some commercial brands are made from a base of 'apricot pits' I couldn't help but laugh. Many of you may not remember, but long long ago (I'm showing my age here  ) a drug called LAETRILE was supposed to CURE cancer and yep, it was made from 'apricot pits'!

Maybe peanut has something with the Amaretto???

I am going for FOLFOX round 3 tomorrow. I hate it but love it because decades of research have shown that sweet, horrible poison is my best chance of ensuring that I'm attending my kids' weddings in fifteen years. Calculus isn't any harder than that for me.

Hi stu,

Thanks for your message. I cannot seem to be able to contact you through your profile nor can I send any other private messages for that matter.

If you, or any of you other decent fine folk (e.g. rp1954), want to communicate, please send me an email at callingyououtonxyz@gmail.com

I hate this place, with a moderator encouraging snarky comments eg: broccoli, amaretto, while censoring my defense in reaction to such.

Nasty, vile bullying mentality that I have no tolerance for at this point in my life. So yeah, I bid you all adieu.

Good luck, Basil. It does suck. Keep going. My 3rd treatment hit sort of hard...like my body finally figured out the "sweet poison" was going to be pumped into it on the regular. Up until then, I was ok-ish. Drink as much water as possible. Water made such a huge difference for me in all of my side and after effects. Even the background nauseous feeling that hung around throughout treatment. If I didn't drink water I felt so very bad.
