Done with Chemo, Now on to Radiation

Postby Solaria1961 » Tue Apr 11, 2017 11:29 am

Yesterday my husband had his last chemo treatment (he had 12 rounds).

He was really fortunate in that he never got sick from the chemo. In fact he has thrived and he looks far better and healthier now than he did before all this. The most side effect ever was that he would get tired sometimes, but even that was really slight. I am so thankful to God for this. And needless to say I'm so proud of my husband, he has been a real soldier and has kept positive through it all.

I wanted to have a big party and invite all our friends to celebrate his being over with chemo, but he nixed that idea immediately, saying that he feels "survivors guilt" that he had such an easy time.

Now he will have radiation for the spots in his lungs.

I am wondering what we can expect with the radiation.
