Haven't been on in a while, but more good news!

Postby BeansMama » Wed Mar 22, 2017 8:10 pm

First, sorry I haven't been on in a while things have been crazy, houseguests, the flu, you name it I swear it has happened it seems.

I had my CT scan last Friday, got the results yesterday. Larry has shrunk!! As well as the shrink, he has calcified even more.

Larry the liver tumor went from 11.3 x 7.9 to 9.4 x 6.

They also scanned my pelvis, I have ascites ugh. Plus some other stuff going on that my onc thinks is related to my diversion colitis. YAY (sarcasm) I have another infection in my stump. On antibiotics yet again, I mentioned topical steroid treatment that I had found referenced on message boards, he said he would look into it.

I will have another scan in 2 to 3 more treatments. If the pelvic stuff is still there they will do an exploratory laporoscopic surgery prior to my liver surgery. Onc said they can do both one right after the other. If they don't find anything with the exploratory surgery they will continue on with the liver surgery. If they find something then I will not get my liver surgery. Hoping my oncologist is right and the pelvic stuff is nothing to worry about.

Must be some kind of psychic thing going with us both being online tonight after some time off! :)
So let me just say...

YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Happy dancing, happy dancing!!!

In honor of what is to come, here is my "ODE TO LARRY"

Oh Larry you scoundrel, you thought you were home.
You outstayed your welcome and hung way too long.
Your grumpy demeanor and lousy nature
Make your living arrangements temporary for sure.
So prepare to be ousted. Prepare to be moved.
You had you some fun. You rocked and you grooved,
But your dances are over. The party is done.
Wave goodbye to us Larry. You're over. You're gone.

;-)
