I do not know what I have caught, but I feel like I am going to reverse "blood eagle"
myself with coughing my lungs up and I can barely talk....and it's my birthday!!

Not! Happy! Jan!

Definitely no fun to be sick on your birthday!
Why do these things always pick the worst time to hit? I hope you feel better soon.

Elizabeth

So sorry, hope you are feeling better soon. You must be a Pisces, my mother's B-Day is this Saturday.

Thinking of you, hope you are feeling better soon,

Lee

Don't let it get to pneumonia, that would really suck. Be well soon.

So sorry you are sick on your birthday. I had the worst flu about a week ago, and it was my birthday. First time i have been sick on my birthday. I had to cancel a trip because of it. Feel better, it will pass soon, and then the cough will pass a bit later.

I suggest a good Irish whiskey (preferably Jameson) mixed with ginger, honey and lemon -- and sweat the bugger out! :D

Hi Maggie Nell,

That does not sound like fun :(

Have you tried Lactoferrin ?
Both hubby & I take that and if we feel an 'infection' coming, we can higher the dose for a few days.
It seams to work quite well for us.

Happy Birthday to You /LPL
P.S. Below - some Lactoferrin reading/references if you or anyone is interested

From (2015) Review Clinical applications of bioactive milk components
https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articl ... rt=classic
"In a recent study, 90 patients who indicated frequent cold symptoms were given human recombinant lactoferrin 600 mg/day or placebo for 90 days. Patients in the lactoferrin treatment group reported a significant reduction in symptom severity and reduced duration of symptoms relative to the control group.[26] "

Thanks Elizabeth, Lee, Steph, Sewhappy, fumaros, JulieJ and LPL for your thoughts and
birthday wishes.

At the moment, waiting on results from blood work and swabs taken from a weird rash I broke out in, just in time
for my doctor's appointment. I look like a sick budgie but feeling a tad better as the antibiotics are kicking in.

Remember_
Sick Budgerigars are Masters of Disguise for as long as possible.
“Sick budgies don’t shout “Help me!!!””

Birds including budgies are masters of disguise when it comes to hiding their illnesses, disabilities and pain.

· This is probably a survival mechanism.
· Obviously sick birds are quickly attacked, killed and eaten in the wild. This especially applies to small birds such as budgies.

Wow....who knew that about budgies? I sure didn't. I digress.

Had a bit of bleeding so the words 'scoot down the table a bit' are going to be in my near future, when the
persistent cough has gone
because, you know, that brushy thing tickles. ...We're hoping the PR bleeding is just the
same old haemorrhoid and the force of coughing (amazingly I haven't whizzed myself).....and I'm getting linked in with a new oncologist. 8)

Basically, I turned 56 and everything went to the shithouse..........as we aussies say.

Good to hear that you are "feeling a tad better " Maggi :)
I hope the blood & swab tests will show you are getting the correct & best Antibiotic for this stupid bug..
When you feel this has past, you could perhaps chose a new date to Celebrate 'like an alternative birthday'
I hope your new Oncologist is great.
Kind regards /LPL

Well, I've just read that in January there was a nasty hacking cough plaguing Britain,
but doctors could do nothing about it and it lasts for weeks.....great, now I feel
like a canary down a mine!
