So, I am starting back up on Chemotherapy Treatments next Tuesday again. I will be on Capecitabine plus Irinotecan (XELIRI regimen) . I told my Oncologist, when I met with him yesterday that I absolutely did not want to do the Take home pump again. He said instead, I could do 2 weeks of Xeloda(Capecitabine). So I will be getting the IV infusion of Irinotecan, at the hospital, starting next Tuesday, then I will be on the Xeloda for 2 weeks, then I will have the 3rd week off for recovery. So, I guess, essentially, I will be getting IV fusion once every 4 weeks. I took the Xeloda last year, pre-op, in conjunction with Radiation. I didn't seem to really have any side effects. Although my Oncologist said it was a lower dose I was taking before. I will also be taking Avastin or something similar depending on pathology results
