As age wages into the factor of what music you might enjoy, I always try to imagine, the ranges that certain individuals have, and not predicate on what is popular at the moment. In any individual musical affection, be it Blues, Rock, Country, Gospel, or an affinity to sing Jazz, it has it's own degree of talent, that may, or may not be the thing, one should strive for in life !

OK just watched Monday's show and Tuesday's results show back to back on DVR.

WOW ..... some epic performances there.

I think Hunter and Vanessa got robbed.... while I like Jesse, either of them could have gone through instead.
I love both the youngens but once again it is the clarity and power of projection which made Aliyah's performances stronger tonight, like Lauren's.

Gotta say ALL 8 should have futures. They are the best final 8 I think I've seen on the show.

The final 4 ...... I would have chosen Aliyah, Hunter, Vanessa and Lauren JUST based on last night and tonight, but Chris would have been a spoiler.

Chris, Aliyah, Lauren, Jesse ... BRING IT next week folks
You are ALL amazing

The finalists are all great, but I think I'll root for Aliyah now. Do we have just two episodes left?

Okaaay...I'm all caught up :!: Finally

TSoul & Jesse Larson sounded so similar during their duet of Stevie Wonder song. Great job.

Agree. Makes it tough to pick one favorite. Admittedly @ the original tryouts I didn't think any of them could sing well enough to be on the show, really. Vanessa was one of my favs, as is Chris Blue.
Yet Lauren Duski...I see star power in country music for her. Sings a good ol country song w/the stage presence to go w/it. Like Blake says: "A good story teller." So if I was pressed to choose.....drumroll....it would be really difficult...but I would choose Lauren.

Guess we'll find out Monday :!:

Been a good season on THE VOICE :!: :!: Enjoyed the youngins too. :)

Ugh!!!!! Not really thrilled about how this ended. I won't say, just in case you PVRd it. Not so sure about the judges line up for next year either. They are bringing Miley back and Jennifer Hudson. Apparently the ratings were not there this season so they are changing it up!

Welllllll !
it is in the books now ! so SPOILER ALERT !
I don't have a prob with Chris as he is super talented. Thought Lauren would win due to the "Blake Factor"
Was kind of hoping my youngen would take it :( but she has a future and with Blake's support I would think.

Over all I thought a great season and great final four, despite a lotta talented folks going home.
Was good to see Hunter, Brennley and Vanessa perform again. Mark did a good job .... his style of "sound" on that number for sure.

I will miss Alicia .. she is a phenomenal artist. Won't really miss Gwen, but her live version duo "Don't Speak" with Hunter was great.
Not sure about Miley / Jennifer next season ...... guess we'll have to see.

Cheers
CR

EDIT : just read that it was Kelly Clarkson ????????????? not Miley ???????????
Image

Sorry .... ... they are already talking Season 14 which would be Kelly Clarkson

Miley / Jennifer next, Season 13

What didn't you like CD?
Loved the show. Gladys Knight made my day! Love her. Wow...all the stars on the final show. That is new.
Chris Blue is talented & so many as CR has mentioned, could have taken the #1 spot.

Apparently Miley has toned it down some recently I heard/read somewhere. Noticed her makeup was very understated, suitable for daywear. No false eyelashes, heavy eye shadow, or bright lips.
Jennifer Hudson singing/song was wonderful. Couldn't really get into Gwen & Hunter's song/singing. That's what keeps life interesting. We all have different tastes/takes on things :P
I'm A-OK w/Miley/Jennifer combo as judges next season. Won't have to watch the Blake/Gwen/Adam relationship innuendos like we had to endure in the beginning of this season.
Not trying to be contrary as Alecia is top notch vocalist! Her singing is amazing. Just got a little old for me always hearing input/comments/coaching about emotion/soul etc. @ least it appeared from what I heard.

They did mix it up a bit this year by bringing back some of the talent for the duets in the final show. Maybe they recognized it was a season full of talent?? Carson Daly mentioned it; not sure if he says that every season.

Anyway, enjoy this thread & all that posted! Sometimes we need to "share" in other ways. Good for the soul (Alecia) :D

My husband and I are faithful watchers of The Voice. Our adult daughter came over one night while we were giving our expert opinions on the talent and got a real kick out of our interaction with the TV!!!

Watched the 2017 kick off last night and have to say in my opinion it didn't disappoint. No spoilers here, just go tune in folks!

watched Monday nite
JHud = ....+/- woteva as a coach
good voice, so I'll wait and see

Miley = REAL sista', glad she's back

Blake and Adam a good "anchor" for the series

MY OWN PERSONAL bitchy note :
I DON'T care about all your life issues and challenges on the Voice
MY homies HERE have gone thru more than ALL of you have ever survived, and they still kick ASS!!!!

HERE we are the CTalk.
THERE you are on the VOICE ... so just STFUp ... and sing your asses off
end rant

I know I know ... I'm being an asshole here ...

NOT !

Not that I am insensitive to the suffering and struggles of others ... OR
I would not still be HERE after 10 effing years !!!!! after having survived on my own.

Bring your VOICE, and whatever brought you to that point where THAT IS your Voice = great

....... no more to say as I have ranted on this before.
You should NOT win because you have the saddest story
you should WIN because IN SPITE of the worst and saddest story ...
LIKE ALL MY HOMIES HERE !!!!!!!!
you bring it DESPITE .... not because of your challenges

EVERY member HERE has more guts and courage than ALL the contestants on the Voice, combined.

gonna go now
guess I should say IMO....?
