Frozen finger cot

Postby teachpdx » Sat Jan 28, 2017 6:38 pm

So I vacillate between foot pain and ass pain. Was thinking of going to an activity that would require me to sit and my ass had started bothering me - sooooo I decided to ice it. Now you may ask, how does one ice one's ass? It's not easy and I HAVE taken one of those long blue ice bags and put it between my legs with extra whatever to hold it in place. It does work butt a bit indirect. So I decide to take a finger cot, fill it with water, freeze and then put it up my ass. Well it did work. I little bit of blood, butt not enough to be worrying. Wasn't sure if it was frozen all the way through, butt after about 5 minutes I took it out and it was thawed. Not sure if this would be a dr recommended tx, butt it does seem to work 8) .

10 points for creativity. <:-)
I'm not a doctor, so I don't know about any possible safety issues with this, but as long as it's only 5 minutes that doesn't sound too bad. I'm suffering now from some kind of infection / inflammation of my private areas as a chemo parting gift, and to fight the hot feeling I too am stuffing ice in areas that don't usually have it. We do what we have to do to get through, don't we?

Another idea that worked for me, recommended by a physical therapist: Take a wet washcloth, roll it up tightly, put a couple of rubber bands around it to hold it coiled, and freeze it. This goes in the crack of course and not the anus!

CR

Hey CR thank you so much for that. I was feeling a bit bummed (no satire, well maybe) about my new status as being disabled and that one made me laugh. I don't think I've ever been accused of having a hot ass so I'll take where I can get it. 8)

Peace,

Kristi

To Teri and Chrisca I have tried both epsom salts and a gel pack up my cheeks. Both are effective butt I just wanted something that would be more direct. They all have their place.

Thanks,

Kristi
