Hello everyone, it's been a while since I've posted anything here. It's been a tough month and road....been to the ER probably 6 times in one month. Mom would improve one day and then the next week something else happens....we also found out she has fluid in her lungs ...which they think is because of pneumonia.
Right now we're in the ER and I have just heard probably the most devastating news so far. Mom was having constipation and complication with her bowel movement and it got to the point where her pain was too much. She was passing gas so I was crossing my fingers that it was only constipation...but after CT scan...I was told it was a large bowel obstruction caused by her tumor.
The ER Doctor told me to prepare myself because this situation was not good...and that there might be little time left. I was in disbelief. I tried so hard to hold myself together but it felt suffocating. Mom stomach was now super bloated and hard, and she still couldn't Poo. I was told her prognosis wasn't looking good and that surgery might be out of the question. That I should pray and hope for a miracle to happen.
I knew in my heart that curing her stage 4 cancer wasnt a high chance but I had prayed and wished that she would atleast be around till I graduated college. And now I'm being told she doesn't have much time left. They're still deciding on what to do....but it's still a very difficult situation.
It would mean the world to me if we can receive some wonderful prayers for my mom, and for her to be able to push through all of this and countinue fighting. Even if there is a slim chance...I don't want to lose hope. Please pray for her, and I really hope she can get through all of this.

folfori- some growth, some shrank
folfori+vectibix- failed after 4 months (scans came back with some growth)
currently- (oct12/16) stivarga (2 pills a day)

So sorry to read this. Is there anyway they could possibly by pass the obstruction? Maybe a colostomy.

Hoping you got or are getting an opinion from a colorectal surgeon and not just the ER doc, have read too many stories of the ER docs not knowing what they're talking about.
