Eight Years!

Postby dianetavegia » Wed Jan 04, 2017 6:40 pm

I'm a bit early but we have a major health concern with my husband and a biopsy re suspected subungual melanoma tomorrow, so thought I'd post my 'Cancerversary' tonight.

Jan. 2nd 2009 I had the colonoscopy that found my cancer. The gastro was 100% sure it was cancer. I saw the surgeon on Jan. 5th and had my resection on Jan. 7th, 2009. Six months FOLFOX. I was Stage IIIB until April 2012 when I had a solitary CLM removed. Due to the location, my surgeon took 80% of my liver and no follow up chemo. My onc upstages so this made me Stage IVa. This April will be 5 years!

Thankful for the time God has given me! If you pray, please pray my husband's biopsy is negative.
Diane
Stage III cc surgery 1/7/09. 12 tx FOLFOX

Diane, you are most definitely an inspiration to us here, and I have taken a lot of comfort in the words you've had to share. I will celebrate your 8 years, but also definitely jump on the prayer wagon for your hubby and that everything will be negative. Keep us posted if / when you can.

Hugs and prayers,
Tracy
