Bad news yesterday

Thanks Pita, I slept all day and night for the most part yesterday. But I did wake long enough to pray, you of course were included. I keep you in my daily prayers as well.

I am so glad you got approved for the immunotherapy. You will be in the 60%!!! You are young and strong and positive and such a light in this world!

I keep you in my prayers. Are you on Facebook? I joined Colontown which is a closed group and very supportive as well. I know they have been very busy because there was a news report that mentioned them.

I am so glad my insurance approved 13 cycles. My oncologist was surprised as well. I am praying to be part of the 60%.

I am on Facebook but have never heard of Colontown. Is it one you need to be invited to join or can you ask to join on your own?

You go to the Colontown Public Library group on Facebook which is public. There you can request to be added. They will send you a friend request and then an email with instructions. Basically you give them a brief introduction about yourself. I know they have had a lot of requests recently so if it takes a few days that is why.

I hope and pray that your 13 cycles aren't too taxing on you and that you are NED after!!

...when my surgeon came up, took a look at it ..went mmmhmmm then dramatically ripped it in half, then into little pieces - threw it all up in the air and said....

"Oh, look, it's snowing!........You ain't dying on my table or under my watch".

It was way empowering when he made that gesture being Good Friday, Easter and with all that rich symbolism.

I was under the influence of some mighty fine pharmaceuticals though, but it was the right support I needed at the right
time, when that surgeon took up the fight and scared the bat-nurse off. Doctor sent me the message that I was going
to have all the time in the world to get my house in order. Just in case.

That is an *awesome* story, and so true. The right support at the right time can really make all the difference. Thanks for sharing that one, Maggie Nell!

Thanks Liz! We are hoping the Opdivo does well. So far the side effects are definitely not as bad as the chemo side effects, but we all know how that can change over time
