Damn liver mets causing all sorts of problems. Want to pursue IRE (Nanoknife). Any suggestions? US or non US is ok.

One of the best, if not the best, I heard of over the years about is Dr Fred Moeslein, who was/is at University of Maryland. http://fredmoeslein.com/

But if location is not a problem, maybe you could check if focused ultrasound surgery might be feasible. Even less invasive. I bumped a thread about it for you.

I know Dr. Steve Solomon at Sloan Cancer Center in the New York City does IRE for liver. I think he did it on one of the liver mets for our member Cynthia, and it worked out pretty well.

maybe search the forum for his name and see if you can get more info. Best wishes for your upcoming treatment!

Oh, yes, Sha! I already told plastikos about how Dr Solomon was amazing for Cynthia, performing IRE: viewtopic.php?f=1&t=56605#p447663 (BTW, plastikos, in that prior post I've mentioned that user vilca had IRE done in other place --she went, precisely, with Dr Moeslein, who treated some very difficult located mets).

Yes, my dear Maia, he did, but what a nightmare it was for 2 mo after that... and, besides, it did not help... So, no, ONLY dr. Solomon in Sloan... he was upset I've done it with Moeslein, said that I should not have...

I do remember what a hard time you had, dear Stella, but... was it for lack of expertise from this doctor, or just it was a difficult spot/procedure? And do you say that it didn't work because of recurrence? (Because, if that is the case, one has to consider that, sadly, that happens, often, despite everything).
Just curious but, yes, maybe better with Dr Solomon, plastikos.
