I think t would help if you could create a signature block to serve as a footer to all of your messages and to give people the basic information on your situation.

A link to the signature creation page is here

http://coloncancersupport.colonclub.com/ucp.php?i=ucp_profile&mode=signature

The kinds of things that you might want to put in your signature are listed in this post:

http://coloncancersupport.colonclub.com/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=52681&p=421597#p421597

Once you create your signature you should update it each time you have additional, relevant information to add. For example, if you know your exact TNM coding, this should also be put in your signature.

Mesh,

I am 7 weeks out from reversal and what you describe is the exact feeling that I had for the first few weeks. But it did get better. I am now eating almost anything that I want and only using the restroom a couple of times per day.

However, if you are concerned talk to your surgeon. He can tell you if something isn't right.

Good luck.

Yes, give it some time. I too am 7 weeks out and am in such a better place than just a few weeks ago. I take Heathers Tummy Fiber morning and evening and colace every night. I also eat prunes in the am and usually oatmeal. Hopefully I'll stop the colace in the future but for now, there is nothing worse than constipation. I basically eat anything now but try to make sure I get enough fiber. I would avoid the raw fruits and veggies until you've recovered a bit more.

The first few weeks sucked, but it does get better. Just be patient. Food can help somewhat but early on it's also your body getting used to working again.
