Here is what I have found to be true for me: There are things that I need to process and "release" that are better for me to express to someone who is not intimately involved in my life. I do not want to weigh my family down with some of the emotional work that I need to do. I have found having a psychologist to be a positive experience.

My mental health often parallels my physical health.

When my physical health is most compromised, my mind can take me to some dark places. Having a psychologist has been a helpful asset in getting my mental health to a better place.

That said, when my mental health is better aligned I can often better deal with the physical health challenges that are racking my body.

Thanks everyone, sorry for being rude the other day. I shall remove myself as I have been told off by a few (my apologiesdon't count I guess, as they seem cocky or whatever). So. I will leave you all on one and refrain from saying somethingI may regret.

Again, sorry, love you all, and sorry to those I hurt.

Nik...please dont leave, you offer support and love to a lot more than you realize. I am one of those you help! The roller coaster and emotions this disease gives us is nasty....but I believe we all get it and we are here to support you! I have at times needed this group, friends, family and outside support in the form of a counselor! It takes everything and anything most of the time and IS exhausting. .. but you gotta fight past it and I for one am here for you!
I pray that you are feeling much better today...but if your not...lean on me or someone until you get through it! I've got treatment today, but will check in later...
hang in there!

I disagree. There is always room for a genuine and heartfelt expression of apology when someone has made a mis-step and hurt another. An apology from Nik to Gartowin would go a long way to heal strained emotions.

I am dying. But that does not give me license to be inappropriate in my behavior in hurting others in my words or actions.

I have been at the receiving end of harsh comments, and it does not feel good. We can all learn from each other, keeping an open mind and perspective.

This is not the first time that Nik has made a comment on the forum, expressed a degree of contrition, and then said that she was going to leave. I see a pattern of behavior. I would encourage Nik to spend some time in quiet reflection.

Thanks, btw, I did apologize, second, thanks for bringing up other things AGAIN, I already said I'm not perfect MissMolly, as I'm sure you are.

As I said I'M SORRY, but not to some of you anymore that choose to keep rubbing my face in it.

SORRY, SORRY, SORRY!!!

Sorry for those of you who can't get past people saying things they obviously shouldn't have, or feel apologies aren't enough. If you want to hold onto anger, that is up to you. I was not brought up that way and been hurt too many times to count, but, I forgive. That's how I was raised.

To all that can forgive me and all who care, thanks for all you have done (and yes, I left before cuz I needed time, then came back when I felt I could). It's not a threat, I'm saying I obviously need to right now.

Did anyone ever tell you that this board is clicky? Unforgiving? Full of themselves? Lacks true empathy? Or is it just a power play?

Nik has problems. She apologized. But you smart old ones couldn't give up. She didn't apologize correctly. She wasn't apologizing to you, was she? Those of you who cast the stone, I will not cast back. I support Nik. I believe she will be fine. If she leaves the board, I will also.

I have never seen such cruelty in my life to a person, oops, your friend as you say. Just keep hammering on her and bring in some new guys to help.

Did anyone try to call her? Discuss her problems off-line? What works for you guys isn't working for her.

See ya Nik

I understand and resonate with others chiming in to support one side OR the other side = BTDT
I understand and resonate with dealing with the same issues over and over = BTDT
I understand and resonate with NOT finding a resolution = BTDT
I understand and resonate with the frustration = = BTDT
I understand and resonate with being away from the forum for a while = BTDT

I understand

BUTT it does not make it any easier when we keep going over the same stuff
which DID not produce a solution last time and expecting it will this time !

HOMIES !!!!!!!
some folks want to take a time out
