Hello from an old timer!

Postby Phuong » Fri Dec 23, 2016 6:29 pm

What's up people?!? It's been a while since I've been on. Lots of life being lived. :D Pita mentioned that some were wondering how I was doing and I realized I am long overdue for an update. 2016 has been crazy with potential recurrence to the lung (turned out to be lung thang that went away), actual recurrence to liver (nuked it with SRS again), continued rise in CEAs leading to head to toe scans (including brain scan) - twice, and just 2 days ago a diagnostic laparoscopy for suspected mets to the peritoneum. They got a good look around and saw nothing in the peritoneum or ovaries. So good news, but we still have to figure out what's causing the rise in CEAs since that has been such a solid indicator for me historically. I've got a couple of new scars, but not feeling too bad considering I had a camera digging around my belly. In between I managed to join the Colon Club's board, lobbied on behalf of all of us at Call on Congress, represented the Colon Club at Orange County's GRYIG, and was the keynote speaker at the So Cal Women's Health Conference & Expo in Pasadena. Hopefully I can get video of that to share with you all. Oh, and I was on XM radio on Weird Medicine to promote the Colondar too. They named the episode after us! The first rule of Colon Club!!!

What an experience this has all been. It all started with the Colon Club. If you are at all interested in any of this, I encourage you to apply for the 2018 edition of On The Rise (formerly the Colondar 2.0). You are all an amazing bunch of warriors and I am so proud to be in battle with you all. Keep kicking ass people!
