Hi everyone,
I haven't been posting much lately as I visit the board less and less frequently. Just thought I would share that I am officially a long term stage IV survivor today (12/1/16). I have seen many people join the site and leave us over that period, and hopefully this gives some of you optimism. I realize how extremely fortunate I am to still be here, and to also have NED. It was a difficult road back in late '11 and all of '12, with the full gamut of chemo, radiation, surgery, ileostomy, more chemo, ileo reversal, and recovering from all that. My biggest fear back then was my 18 month old daughter growing up without a father. Fortunately I have stuck around, and in fact, we will be joined by another daughter early next year! Thanks to all who have given advice and support over the years. I found this site extremely useful for finding information for those "rare" questions that only cancer patients can answer.
