Wow, Eric, the powers-that-be are really dealing you a rough hand. I hope your new treatment works and I hope you and you wife get to enjoy the holidays. Commuting into the city can be frustrating (to put it mildly!) but you are in the best possible hands. Best wishes and lots of good luck to you!

So many lessons to be learned from you Eric. The way you handle all the hurdles thrown at you, we could all benefit from that. Wishing you nothing but positive results...and time...oh so much time!!!!! I want to be reading your posts 30 years from now.... :lol:

Hello,

I am a new member and I have read many of your posts over the past few months. It is incredible that you have so much compassion for other people in times when you have to deal with personal challenges and how you share your experiences and the learning we get from it. I am truly thankful, humbled and I am sure all will be well.

Cancer diagnosis is no longer a death sentence. It is just a complex chronic decease, which needs to be managed. Like high blood pressure. Just side effects from blood pressure medication is a bit easier (

then from current chemo cocktails, which are available. We live in times when technology is developing at light speed. I am no longer too obsessed with "cure" concept. Just chronic decease concept which can be managed until we die from something else (like old age for example).

I agree with you, BUD. I'm not looking for a cure, just a path forward that keeps me alive and more or less viable. I think it's a race against time, but I guess so is life in so many ways.

BB you are an inspiration to so many of us. I know I read your posts and they give me hope. This disease is a challenge that tests us to the limit of our abilities and you take each hurdle with strength and confidence.

BrownBagger, there are many, many people here, both past and present, who owe a great debt of gratitude to you for your inspiration over the years.

This is James in Exeter, NH. Sorry to hear the news. Your strength is incredible though I'm sure there are times it flags and it sounds like you have the love of a great woman, family and friends to pick you up and keep you going.
