Love the people God has given you..............

Postby teacher49 » Thu Oct 13, 2016 9:56 pm

for He will need them back one day.

To All: My dear husband Mike passed away yesterday shortly after noon. He was admitted to the hospital on Friday and had emergency surgery for colon obstruction probably due to peritoneal mets from his Stage IV esophageal cancer. They did a diversion and brought his transverse colon up and out bypassing the descending colon. He rallied some......we thought we were buying him some time until he could get to immunotherapy. He was weak and tired and I guess that his body just gave out on him and started shutting down. It was a rapid spiral but I was there and he reached out to me just before his respirations ceased and then suddenly he was at peace. I hope he is hanging out with Arnold Palmer and Dale Earnhardt right now. Missing him so much but he would not have wanted to prolong his suffering.

He took such good care of me when I was diagnosed with RC.......I thought we had some good retirement years ahead of us.

Life goes on.
