Got my yearly ct scans moved back to October

Postby DarknessEmbraced » Mon Sep 19, 2016 7:46 am

I was able to get central scheduling at the hospital to move my yearly ct scans back to October! It was because they were backed up that it was going to be January. They had an opening for October 18th and I took it! Still having lots of issues with my stomach. I see my GI on the 21st. If the same thing happens with my scans next year I will call central scheduling again to see if they can be changed!

Thanks BeansMama, Aussie and Cowgirl! My stomach has been acting up still with lots of cramping, bloating, gas and alternating between small bowel movements, diarrhea and constipation. I've been having lots of back pain and last night the painful bloating was back. I think I'm going to start my period soon which makes me feel 10 times worse. I'm on a cancellation list for my GI because he's not going to be there so they changed my appointment to October 20th! I've been waiting to see him again since July! :( I think he should do an MRI to check the rest of my small intestine that isn't visible on an upper endoscopy. I'm worried he won't do much. I get my CEA and CA 125 checked again in November.

My gynecologist will get a copy of my scans so he can check to make sure I have no cysts, etc.. I had the Mirena replaced in April. My period has been much more painful since January and for many months they have been lasting longer. On Mirena 10 to 12 days is normal for me. My periods has been lasting 15 days and last month it lasted 17 days. I'll have spotting in between sometimes too. My gynecologist thinks it's my body adjusting to the Mirena but I've had several Mirenas in the past and never had this happen. He said that if the scans don't show anything then he would order a complete hormone blood panel.
