Sending my deepest condolences to you, your mother & family, friends for the loss of your beloved dad. That is a wonderful picture of the both of you enjoying the outing together...to be treasured.

I am so sorry for you and your families loss. What a beautiful picture of the two of you. I am so thankful that his passing was peaceful and you were all able to be with him. Hugs and prayers for you and your family that you can find the strength to help you get through this terrible loss. RIP to your father, taken way to soon.
DD to 81 year old father
dx 24/07/14 iv cc mets liver/lung
folifiri started 19/07/14
shrinkage of all mets
growth in the liver,started folfox/avastin 80% 13/01/16
reduced to 70% due to side effects 27/01/16
First scan on folfox shows shrinkage in lungs, but liver just stable
6 rounds of vectibix-fail. 3cm growth and new spots showing Waiting for panel recommendations

The beautiful picture of you and your Dad has a loving story to tell. I am so very sorry for you and your family. He was blessed to have you to walk with those final days. You gave him a great gift.

I am deeply sorry to hear of your father's passing. All I can say is that he will have cherished every moment you spent together, and deeply appreciated having you in his life. Peace and thoughts for you in your time of mourning.

Thank you all for the kind words. i have been reading through my Dads memoirs alot so pleased Dad wrote this with the help of a hospice volunteer. He has left an awesome legacy For our family, and something that we will always treasure.
Dad diagnosed Sept 14 Stage IV. Age 57yrs. Transverse colon - spread to Retroperitoneal, Mesenteric & Supraclavicular lymph nodes. Folfiri commenced Sept 14.
April 15 - Bowel resection
August 15, stable scan
Feb 16 - No signs of cancer on scan...stop chemo & scan in 3 month
Scan April 16, Crazy growth to stomach, lymph nodes & multiple mets to liver. Commencing Folfox.
August: chemo not working. Stopped treatment.
September 3rd 2016 peacefully left this earth.

I'm so sorry for the loss of your Dad!*hugs* I'm glad that you had a photo op with him 2 weeks before his death as those memories will be a light in the darkness. Wonderful that your Dad wrote his memoir! :)
