Bowl Prep Question

Postby doc1974 » Wed Jun 08, 2016 7:37 am

I have my bowl prep and reading the instructions for an upcoming colonoscopy ( Sodium sulfate , potassium sulfate & magnesium sulfate ) Super Bowl Prep Kit . It says that it may not be used if there is a blockage or severe constipation . I have pretty bad constipation and was wondering if anyone had experience with this prep and constipation ?

I would contact your GI doctor or hospital doing your colonoscopy & ask them...
36/F
Genetic high BP since age 22 (currently on Bystolic)
Wife, mom of two girls
Colonoscopy 12/1/14: DX with 12 mm Tubulovillous adenoma polyp (benign), & diverticulosis in colon, Lynch negative
Colonoscopy 10/21/16: Clear colonoscopy, diverticulosis

I agree with pathfinder. There are things you can do to help, but you want to speak with the doc or nurse in his office.
Diagnosed with stage III rectal tumor (though probably late stage II) January 2006.
Chemo/Radiation
Full APR Surgery
Folfox Chemo
So far NED.
Ooops. Liver tumor diagnosed 10/13 after elevated CEA. Liver resection for 5cm tumor 12/6/13.

I haven't heard of that prep and have done 3 different ones. Yes, ask the doc.
