Great 3 month lab results

Got my 3 month lab results after my LAR and everything was perfect! Cea was normal last time (2.5) but down to 1.5 today.....and I'm a light smoker! I didn't want to call for results in case cea was up but I couldn't bare it any longer ! No worries now!
53yo married 27 years, 2 children, 24 and 25
Diagnosed april 23,2015 rectosigmoid
Starting CEA 1845
Port placement and liver bx April 27
Folfox started april 29
Avastin added on May 6
Stage IV crc with mets to 50% of liver

10/13/15 dc'd transfusion #12...toxic
Pet/ct scan on 11/3/15
20% liver resected all margins clear 11/30/15
8/18/15 cea 21.
9/15/15 cea 13.9
10/13/15 cea 14.4
1/22/2016 cea 2.5
LAR 02/15/16 all clear

Stage IIIb T3,N2,MX; Chemo Feb 2010-Aug 2010; 4 rounds Folfox; 8 rounds 5FU +LV
12/2010 PET/CT Scan, Cancer Free
7/2012 CT Scan NED 2 years
10/2013 NED 3 years
8/2014 NED 4 years
Recurrence 6/2015: iliac lymph node(s)
8/2015 Surgery: 3 cm tumor removed+iliac artery graft
3/2016 CT Scan Stable
6/2016 Stable
9/2016 Stable
12/2016 Stable
3/2017 Stable
Recurrence 6/2017
12/2017 Surgery removed all cancer w/ clean margins
07-27-2018 Cancer-free for 7 months

Clear 5 year scans 11/21/19- Considered cured! :)

chemo: 8/2015 - 10/2016 - 4xFOLFIRINOX, 2xFOLFOX, 8xFOLFIRI, 10x5FU, HAI pump -12xFUDR
4 surgeries, complete pathological response
CEA<2 since 10/2015
NED since May 2016

Great news.
12/2015: 34 yo Male Dx stage IV colon cancer with inoperable (19+) liver mets. Primary 4cm×3.5cm in transverse colon. BRAF V600E mutant - MSS
01/2016 - 05/2016: Folfirinox (3 rounds) then Folfoxiri Avastin (4 rounds) then Folfiri Avastin (3 rounds)
05/2016: Latest CT/MRI/Pet show some significant shrinkage on most lesions but one liver lesion growing (progressive disease)
CEA / CA199 : 205 / 182 pre-chemo & 295 / 1600 current

Radiation + Xeloda pills - 3000mg 5x week
3/14 - 4/16 - 25 sessions
Shrank just over 50% L nodes 0/13
Remove rectum with temp Ileo 6/17
Reversal 7/20 due to infection
Acute hepatitis August. Chemo cancelled
June to September 2016 - 58 days in hospital

2017
6/16, MRI shadow in lung
Pet - 6.6mm Met in Upper R lobe
7/30 VAT surgery Mass General/Boston
8/24 port
8/30 - 4/28 Folfox. 12 rounds
2018
June CT shows new lung Mets.
July/Oct PETs...CLEAR!

CEA Post Surgery: ALWAYS 2

Very happy to hear your results!!!
Take it from someone who smoked for over 40 years and quit for over 9, there is no such thing as a light smoker, either you smoke or you don't smoke. With cancer in your body why would you want to put more toxins in it? That is something to be worried about. If I can quit cold turkey anyone can. Try going to about.com smoking cessation group for help and support, I spent a year there.
Sorry I get a little carried away when it comes to smoking...
