Good Morning Everyone,
Today is the day, we get the results of my Mom PET scan results to see exactly what the 12 rounds of modified FOLFOX 6 did for her! I am a nervous wreck! Being in the medical field, I understand all of this BUT...when it comes to my Mom its just so different. I really don't even know how to gauge or even visualize what this appointment is going to be like this morning because, My Mom is doing great other then her now broken arm. She carries on like normal, she gets tired here and there and will nap and rest in little spurts throughout the day but overall she is living life. I have said it so many times, how can someone live life like she is living and have this terrible monster inside of her. Please send positive vibes and prayers her way today! Thank you all so much!

Stage IV signet ring cell rectal cancer
Poorly differentiated
at this time not a candidate for surgery or HIPEC
mets to peritoneum
no CEA numbers ever run on her
KRAS wild type
11/2015 Modified FOLFOX 6
5/2016 completed 12 rounds of FOLFOX 6
CT scan after 4th round, improvement
PET scan 5/2016 showed non activity in all cancer areas but two nodules (1/lung)
but oncologist believe its chemo induced, not concerned at this time
Laparoscopy scheduled 6/28/16

Dec '14 left lobectomy and HAI
Jan '15 FUDR and FOLFIRI
Aug '15 fudr done, liver clear, add avastin for lungs. Cea 4.3
Feb '16 CEA rising
May '16 2 wk break then drop Iri for 6 weeks.
Jul '16 cancer grew, constricted main bile duct. Stent inserted. On break till jaundice clears. CEA climbing. Doing reduced Folfox. Allergic to Oxali.
Sep'16 chemo failed. Trial or hospice?

5/20/16: CEA 1.7 (phew)
06/10/16: EMR complete
06/16/16: Biopsy result: Fragments of tubulovillous adenoma; negative for high grade dysplasia
09/08/16: Follow up Colonoscopy scheduled.
