Try to relax until then. The prep is the worst part but not too bad. Hope all is well.

I'm glad she could get you in so soon. Try not to worry. There are a lot of reasons for blood that aren't cancer. But with your family history it's good to have it checked. I'll keep positive thoughts headed your way.

Glad you could get in so soon. It is so stressful when waiting for tests & fearing the worse, hopefully this has been unnecessary stress. Fingers crossed for you..
Dad diagnosed Sept 14 Stage IV. Age 57yrs. Transverse colon - spread to Retroperitoneal, Mesenteric & Supraclavicular lymph nodes. Folfiri commenced Sept 14.
April 15 - Bowel resection
August 15, stable scan
Feb 16 - No signs of cancer on scan...stop chemo & scan in 3 month
Scan April 16, Crazy growth to stomach, lymph nodes & multiple mets to liver. Commencing Folfox.
August: chemo not working. Stopped treatment.
September 3rd 2016 peacefully left this earth.

Good luck with your prep and colonoscopy!*hugs* The prep is the worst part. Make sure to drink plenty of liquids so you won't get dehydrated and plan on staying near a bathroom once you start prep. As for the colonoscopy they give you drugs that make it so there's no pain and you don't remember! Let us know what you find out!*hugs*

Thanks for all your support guys! Went for the colonoscopy and the Dr found a couple of small polyps and removed them. So it is good news, but still very glad I went. She biopsied them and I will get the results in a couple of weeks. But she didn't seem alarmed. Thanks again. El
