Jim just had his annual colonoscopy and CT scan and we met with his oncologist today. The news was good - no evidence of cancer. And now he is scheduling his deportation procedure! Bye bye, power port. You've been a good friend but it's time to say goodbye.
For anyone just starting this journey, there are many reasons to stay positive. Jim is living proof as a stage 4 survivor.

Get that nasty thing out of his body, it can cause unneeded infection. I also celebrated 4 years, since reversal this month, 3/3 /2016. Of course, I was not stage 4, butt you take em when you can get em!

At year four, the chance of recurrence bottoms out and at 6 years, you'll be pronounced CURED. I found a paper on that just yesterday!

Woohoo! So great! I love hearing stories of long-term Stage IV survival. Congrats to you, Jim, and your whole family.
