Our beloved Skypuppy

Postby Bev G » Sun Feb 14, 2016 12:06 am

I am beyond sick to report that Skypuppy passed away yesterday. We have kept in touch through Facebook and phone calls, though too few of them. She is a one-in-a-million human being. I learned a lot from her, both medically and philosophically. I will miss her very, very much.

Big, sad loss for all of us. Theresa (Skypup), your kidnapping is over. You did not go gently into that good night, butt you also never lost a molecule of your awesome grace.

I love you very much. See you later.

I am so sad to hear this. Skypup was one of the first members to kindly greet me during those horrendous, confusing first weeks of my mother''s diagnosis. She was so smart, knowlegeable and kind. She will be missed by all who knew her, that's for sure.

What will it be of her beloved sheepdog? I remember how much she meant to her.

I hope you are at peace, Skypup.

Such sad news. I only knew her for a short time, but she was always kind and helpful to me. I'd hoped she was doing well.

Rest in peace, Theresa. You touched so many lives here for the better. We will miss you terribly.

Theresa was my closest cancer friend and as soon as I heard she had entered hospice care knowing her time was very short, I just hoped like hell it would be fast. Every passing hour felt like days.

I'm crushed.

Theresa and I talked about cancer and it's effects but mostly we talked about dogs (our mutual love of Australian Cattle Dogs and dog agility), minimalism and exercise.

A while back, she wondered whether to keep doing chemo and I told her that I selfishly encouraged her to do a little more if she could, because I wasn't ready to let her go. I was honest. She was an integral part of my own journey and healing. Recently, I encouraged her to go for quality over quantity. She held on so tight, trying to outlive her 14 year old Cattle Dog, Sky.

Theresa has taught me lessons about pure grit, grace and accepting the things you cannot change. A while back, she lit a candle and added this message, which I look at often "May all beings be happy, may we all feel loved.".

I love you Theresa, I'm glad you're free of this shit. I miss you terribly. I can't believe you're gone.
