Please tell me this is normal

Postby JDinNC » Wed Jan 27, 2016 1:56 pm

Since it's been cold outside, I've been experiencing aches where I had my lung resection/surgery. Butt what makes me panic is that I'm also having aching on my opposite side. Before being diagnose, I would have a pain along my rib cage under my right breast. I always figured it was due to the underwire of my bra. ...butt that obviously wasn't the cause. What's causing the ache on the other side has me dangerously overthinking even though my CT a month ago came back negative. So is the cold weather causing these aches and pain?

Not a lung patient but I've had various pains constantly since my resection, some of which lasted weeks - and I scanned clear last weekend. We've been hacked to pieces and had our insides subjected to all kinds of indignities - I think it would be strange to NOT have periods of pain and discomfort.

p.s. hope you feel better soon and congrats on the clear scan :)

I think it's normal. I have so many aches and pains from all the surgeries and chemo! Especially in cold weather...and even in illogical places. I think given your clear scan it's just the normal side effects.

I also had this kind of pain for weeks, when I run. But it got resolved by itself. And now I have some kind of band of pain around my chest sometimes. I had clear scan this month.
Monday I have to go for exercise test for lungs. My pft was not normal, not sure about reason though.

hope your get resolve by itself.
