You may be interested to know that the EU recently had a vote on whether to continue licensing glyphosate for use in the European Union for another 5 years. The measure failed to pass on the first ballot, but it did pass on the subsequent November 27 ballot.

A federal judge on Monday waded into the arcane science behind claims that the widely used weed killer Roundup can cause cancer. The expected weeklong testimony is intended to help him determine whether a jury should hear from doctors who link the product to non-Hodgkin's lymphoma.

The GMO corns etc are what is called "RoundUp ready." They are impervious to Roundup, so the farmer can overspray, killing the nutrient sapping weeds without affecting the corn. If I am not mistaken, Monsanto owns some of the patents for these plants.

I'm curious whether Dana Farber and other places studying early onset CRC are considering this connection. I doubt it.
