Hemmrhoids- How do you find relief???

My husband is having quite a rough time with hemmrhoids. He drinks plenty of water and takes a stool softener but cannot seem to stop getting these painful hemmrhoids. Does anyone have any remedies, besides Epson salt soaking and Preparation H? Thanks in advance for any advice

Vitamin e. Use a safety pin to pierce a capsule and apply or you can even shove the capsule in the rectum for internal hemmorhoids.

I keep a bottle of witch hazel next to the toilet and make wipes up as needed with TP. They really work to ease the swelling and pain. It's cleared me up considerably since I started. I tried lidocaine ointment but it actually hurt more, so that was dropped immediately.

Calmoseptine is a barrier cream that's available at Walgreens. It's for external use. Apply with a Q-tip and cover all the exposed inflamed tissue. It's messy, but I often use it overnight and it shrinks the little buggers pretty well by morning and reduces the pain in a half hour or so. It's important to get ahead of them and apply at the first sign of a flareup.
