December 15. Never have liked having Dec. b-day. They always ignored it for Christmas. Two brothers and a sister also have dec. b-days, so I had company in being ignored.

June 2019 stage 3 esophageal cancer
Aug. 2019 28 radiations, 5 chemo
Nov. PET shows original tumor and mets resolved, 2 new mets in liver and bone.
May 2020 port installed, started Folfox hope to do 12 rounds, cure not expected
Keytruda April 2021 8 rounds
scan showed small growth in tumors
Paclitaxol started summer 2021.
Scan July 30, 2021 showed small decrease in size of tumors in liver and bone

Thank you...a Dec. 12th birthday here. Not the best month for a birthday. There was always more focus on Christmas, so you always felt like a second thought. I guess I shouldn't complain, both my mom and dad had birthdays on Christmas Eve...now that was a bummer!!

Tomorrow's not my birthday, but it's good. I'm 10 years NED -- there's been no sign of cancer since my operation on Dec. 2, 2005.

Like others said, it's rubbish and many a years my birthday was drowned in the xmas and nye rush.
Though I have to say that it got better after moving to Australia. It was pretty awesome to be able to celebrate my birthday in summer for quite a few years. Now it's back to the nondescript mush of cold and rain in North-West Germany *sigh*
