The end of our journey...

Postby JENNJ » Mon Nov 23, 2015 7:02 am

These last 12 months have been so hard on my Dad and my Mom, my entire family. My Dad has reached the end of his journey, he will begin hospice care this week. We are all devastated, he has only just turned 60. So much life left to live, stolen by this awful disease.
Thank you for all the support and information. I wish each and every one of you nothing but the best. Enjoy every moment you can, life is so short.

It often feels like not enough is being done for colon cancer, doesn't it? Your dad is being robbed of many years, but that won't affect the amount of love between him, you, and the rest of your family.

I'm so sorry. My only advice to you as he enters hospice care is to suggest that when the end comes it can arrive unexpectedly, even though you know your loved one is down to days.

Many blessings for your dad.
