Anyone else ever dealt with this?

Postby Mattie » Fri Nov 06, 2015 12:23 am

I've been having major pain on the right side under my ribs. It is very non specific and seems to move around alot. At times the pain could also be felt when I lie down on my back. Laying on the area, leaning over to tie my shoes, coughing, would also cause pain. I did not think this was cancer related, because I have never really had pain in the past. I was trying various things to get rid of it. I tried probiotics and it diminished the pain almost immediately. I always thought probiotics were a bit of a sham, so was surprised when it worked. I know that pro biotics help bring in the good bacteria to your gut, but does anyone know what causes the bacteria to get out of wack and cause pain? Could something cancer related be causing a shift in bacteria?

My under rib pain came from one of four things. Don't know which yet. gallbladder, kidney stones, fatty liver or women things.
Even antibiotics can get gut bacteria out of whack. Anything can get belly out of whack. Salmonella, ecoli, c-diff. yeast. Chemo! Chemo kills good & bad bacteria. You have to get good bacteria back somehow. Yogurt or whatever.
I hope probiotics keep working for you.
I asked if hubby could take them just because he wouldn't eat yogurt. Doc said no. Eat a yogurt.
Fixin to try "overnight oatmeal" just to get some yogurt in him.
H pylori is a bacteria that can cause ulcers. I'm glad probiotics are doing you some good!
