Voice issues - Erbitux - FOLFIRI

Postby musicluvr » Wed Oct 28, 2015 6:05 pm

Just curious if anyone has ever had problems with their voice box/vocal cords? I have mouth sores, and my tongue feels like it's burnt, but have also had issues with my voice for 3 days now and it's not getting any better.

DOC looked at it yesterday, said it was just post-nasal drainage, but 3 days???

My voice gets funny, sorta high pitched and squeaky. This has been going on for a few months. My onc said it's not unusual. It is worse when I'm tired.

Yeah, I had a really raspy voice/laryngitis on FOLFIRI. It went away when chemo ended.

I have no idea, but just thinking here. If you think about having a cold and soreness or dryness that happens...maybe it's similar?

I'm on Folfox so I don't think I really can contribute properly , but I sounded like a boy whose voice was breaking for the first two days of this week's round (my second). It freaked me out a little bit, to be honest.

Interesting that it is perhaps not the Oxi, though.

As if there aren't enough weird chemo side effects...

Yes! My voice gets raspy and sometimes almost nothing comes out. It's not all the time, but it's weird. I didn't really attribute it to chemo, but of course it is.
