5 Years NED

Postby Stomatrooper » Tue Oct 06, 2015 7:17 pm

For the record, pleased to provide a positive report:

5 Years today Post ULAR - No Evidence of Disease - enjoying good health and Bowel Function

It's not always been an easy road despite being diagnosed as stage 1 which doesn't seem such a big deal in comparison to many on this forum - initially a miniscule surgical margin (less than 1 mm distal margin) - incisional hernia - blockage - and then lone paroxysmal developed a-Fib (unrelated and fixed via ablation)

Cancer helped me to take a new view on life and I have taken the foot of the pedal and semi-retired moving to a semi rural coastal spot where we enjoy the good life - taken up cycling and report (in the way of Brown Bagger) 16,000 km since diagnosis (this was restricted for 2 x years by a-fib).

I don't visit this forum often anymore but will always be thankful for the help and support that I received here - this place more than anywhere made me feel normal again and put things into perspective.

Good luck to you all.
