Dang! Landed in e.r. With bowel obstruction

Got admitted last night at 9 for a presumed bowel obstruction which was then confirmed by CT. Crap. Hoping to get it resolved without surgery. chicks swaying in wind much appreciated! Thanks, Rob

Peridonitus, stoma fitted, 6 abcesses drained in abdomen

3/2015 Folfox, someones playing kill Bill inside me
9/2015 finished 12 rounds,
First scan results: NED!!!!!!!!!
4/2016 ct scan: NED!!!
7/2016 ultrasound: NED
10/2016 cr scan: NED
5/2017 ultrasound: NED 2,5 yrs!
CEA 8/2017 1.8 stable.
CT scan 11/2017 NED! 3 yrs

Happened to me twice, once when I still had an ileostomy and once without one.
The surgeons thought that because they saw a stricture in my colon they would have to do surgery and give me a permanent colonostomy, but then they decided to let the GI doc give me a colonoscopy and stretch me out from that end.
It worked and have been problem free for 16 months. Make them consider alternatives if they start talking surgery.

Hang in there....this has happened to me 9 times.....actually many more but 9 put me in the hospital......hate that damn NG tube....BTW each time it cleared in a couple of days.....because it was happening so much I finally did a lysis. Enjoy the drugs.

Sorry to hear this. Hoping for a speedy unblockage.
50 YO Husband & father of 2 teenagers.
DX 9/9/13 Stage 4 cc (at age 48)
16 Rounds FOLFOX + Avastin (Oct-13 to May-14)
Maintenance chemo - Avastin & 5-FU infusions (Jun-14 to Jul-15)
Jul-15: Mets to lymph nodes, resuming FOLFOX
Sep-15: MRI showed stability, back to maintenance chemo.

Jan '15 FUDR and FOLFIRI
Aug '15 fudr done, liver clear, add avastin for lungs. Cea 4.3
Feb '16 CEA rising
May '16 2 wk break then drop Iri for 6 weeks.
Jul '16 cancer grew, constricted main bile duct. Stent inserted. On break till jaundice clears. CEA climbing. Doing reduced Folfox. Allergic to Oxali.
Sep'16 chemo failed. Trial or hospice?
