We plan to ask the surgeon at our follow up on Friday but am wondering I anyone else has experienced this and may have some insights as to if it is a variation of normal...
there is an area all around DH's new stoma (colostomy) which is hard - like a 2 inch thick firm circle all around it. The visiting nurse hadn't seen this before. But no fever, it isn't painful (a little sore when pressed but nothing notable).
I have googled this and must not be searching for the right terms or describing it properly because I can't find a thing.
Anyone have any idea what this could be?
